“An invitation to create wonder” (Post 99)

Today I felt a bit overwhelmed; there are so many ideas in my head that I want to process and express. However, we all know that only one thing is possible at a time, unless we employ a factory with skilled workers who can take our ideas and run with them. Just imagine: We can knock on a factory door and “download” all our ideas and then we get a call a few days later to inform us that all the wonders we were dreaming of, are now tangible realities. (The work included here is called “Invitation” and it is an oil on board painting.)

As I was laughing at myself – thinking of all the “visions” which are knocking on my “do-something-now-please”-door – I remembered the little preface I wrote for my Carpet Rides colouring book, which is an invitation to become creative. I should put into motion what I advocated. I used the titles of the art works to generate a fantasy.

If I accept one challenge at a time, at least one “wonder” will be constructed. I will have to get my ducks in row and get an arty calendar going. Picasso said: “Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.”

An awakening

in Baroque-style bouquets

cascading around you could be yours

if you have the courage to

take up your colouring gear.

If you dream of elation

then apply your energy

and walk through the entrance

of expectation

where a world of festivity

and freedom awaits you.

Grandeur is visible if you master integration

after accepting the invitation.

You will hear music

and the overture of paradise;

possibility is creatively yours.

Power and stature will emerge

much to your surprise.

Just remember if you add synergy

and vitality

wonder awaits.
