A few days ago, I tweaked a simple birthday song I wrote for a friend two months ago. I removed his name from the song and made it a song that I could send to all my friends on their birthdays. I had the pleasure of sending that song to a friend yesterday , for the first time. In that little song is a verse that says:
May you know divine direction
See heavenly connection
In mindful retrospection
I was reminded today of the “Divine direction” acrylic diptych (on canvas) I created while I was working in China, when I was on a WhatsApp call with a dear friend in the UK. He is now in a transition period. He told me about the still small voice which told him a while ago to resign; his life had become grey and he felt God led him to pursue something new. As we all know, walking through the earthly “wilderness” is not always easy, but when we look back, we can see that there was a divine route which we followed, even though we could not see it at the time of our discomfort.
A verse from Psalm 25:10 comes to mind: “And when we obey Him, every path He guides us on is fragrant with His loving-kindness and His truth.” (Living Bible)
Let us look at our journey and acknowledge God's foresight. We easily forget that He had paved the way all along. May we see divine direction and tap into our heavenly connection with the assurance that all will be well.
Thank you. Be blessed.
Very encouraging. Thank you.
